Ms. Miginsky is a registered nurse with an active license in Virginia with over 35 years healthcare experience with 15 plus in risk management. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Risk Management, a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management. She is a published author and national speaker on healthcare risk management. Her specific expertise is in clinical and compliance risk assessment, clinical risk management and program implementation within healthcare.
Prior to joining RCM&D/SISCO, Ms. Miginsky worked as a trauma, recovery and operating room nurse and taught on a federal grant. Additionally, she has worked for the Department of Defense as Director of Risk Management, Performance Improvement, Patient Safety and a TJC Coordinator, as well as the Director of Risk Management for Prince William Health System.
At SISCO, Ms. Miginsky has held long term locum tenens risk manager positions at various healthcare facilities in the Mid-Atlantic Region. She provides risk management consulting services to Group Captive Insurance Programs and individual clients, regularly conducts risk assessments of high-risk clinical areas in healthcare facilities, and provides risk management educational presentations on various topics. She served on the ASHRM Ethics Committee Task Force and is Past President of VASHRM. Currently she is on the ASHRM Bylaws Committee.
